Rosette CPD Compliance Services
Rosette CPD is a training and compliance specialist. Alongside a comprehensive range of continuing professional development (CPD) courses Rosette CPD can help you meet your legal and regulatory compliance obligations.
Compliance in the healthcare sector is constantly evolving and there are serious consequences for failing to meet the standards that help keep patients safe. Dealing with this complex area, and the related administration can feel overwhelming. Our specialist compliance consulting will take the strain off, your practice staff.
The Care Quality Commission is the health care inspector for dental premises in England. In Wales it’s the Healthcare Inspectorate Wales.
Rosette CPD compliance consultancy is provided by Maggie Heath, an experienced healthcare and dental training and compliance professional.
Rosette CPD’s compliance services will provide you with the information and knowledge to enable you to meet and exceed all inspected regulatory standards, with two levels of actionable feedback for your practice.
Care Quality Commission Dental Practice Inspection
Comprehensive dental practice inspections are carried out at random or in response to risk. Inspections are usually made at two weeks’ notice but can be unannounced.
A comprehensive CQC inspection can last a full day. Focussed inspections may be made in response to particular concerns at a practice.
Included in a CQC comprehensive inspection will be a full assessment against the CQC’s five key questions for all healthcare services: are they safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led?
These key lines of enquiry are checked via a series of prompts taken from the CQC’s standard assessment framework for healthcare services. The inspectors will assess your practice, including whether it meets the CQC’s Fundamental Standards: “the standards below which your care must never fall”. These are derived from the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
Results are delivered in reports that judge practices as:
Outstanding
Good
Requires improvement
Inadequate
The CQC will tell practices what improvements they need to make to come up to standard. They can limit the services a practice offers, or – although it is a very rarely used power – they can close practices down.
Meeting Your CQC Compliance Responsibilities
CQC inspections are comprehensive and wide-ranging: premises, staff, health and safety, policies, maintenance of equipment, insurance and training may all be a part of the inspection assessment.
Rosette CPD practice compliance assessments help get you ready to face a CQC comprehensive inspection with confidence.
In preparation of an inspection, Rosette CPD’s visit can be bespoke to your individual needs and might include document preparation, including creating and collating files ready for an inspection, and ensuring all your equipment and emergency supplies are in order. We can even help with the completion of your DSP (Data Security and Protection) toolkit, if you wish.
Being compliant means not just meeting standards but providing evidence that they have been met.
A Rosette CPD full practice compliance assessment will cover CQC requirements and much more. Listed below are just some of the many areas covered:
Practice access and patient facilities, waiting room and reception;
Information Governance, GDPR, disaster recovery and contingency plans;
Data protection, security and confidentiality;
